Mandarin, cranberry and warming spice in a classic Suffolk dry gin.

This Suffolk dry gin layers sweet mandarin and tart cranberry over a juniper-forward base, with cinnamon and a bundle of other botanicals adding gentle spice. It tastes like festive citrus and red fruits wrapped around a proper classic gin, rather than a sugary liqueur.

At 43% it has the strength of a full dry gin, so it works brilliantly in a G&T, a Negroni twist or simply over ice with a wedge of orange. It is made and bottled by Suffolk Distillery in Stoke by Nayland, just up the road from us.

FAQs

Is it very sweet?
No – it is a proper dry gin with fruit notes, not a sugary gin liqueur. The mandarin and cranberry bring flavour and gentle sweetness but the finish stays clean and dry.

Is it just for winter?
It is very good in chilly months, but the mandarin and red fruit profile also works well in spritzy summer G&Ts and long drinks.

What tonic works best?
Try a plain or light tonic so you do not drown the citrus and cranberry. Finish with a slice of orange or a few fresh cranberries.
