Paper Tape - 24mm/48mm

Plastic-free adhesive tape that works exactly like the regular stuff - we use it to pack every single order we send out.

Made from kraft paper with a rubber-based adhesive, it tears cleanly by hand, sticks well, and comes on a 50m roll so it lasts a decent while. Paper sourced from the EU, manufactured in the UK, and packaged without any plastic.

Available in 24mm (standard) or 48mm (wider, better for boxes and parcels). If you're sorting out your gift wrapping, our recycled natural cotton twine pairs well with it - and we also stock printed paper tape if you'd like something a bit more decorative. A bamboo tape dispenser makes using it even easier.

FAQs

Does paper tape stick as well as plastic tape?
For most everyday uses - packaging boxes, wrapping gifts, sealing envelopes - yes, it does the job just as well. It won't perform quite as well in very damp or cold conditions, but for normal use it's a reliable swap.

Which width of paper tape should I choose?
The 24mm width works well for general wrapping and lighter parcels. The 48mm is better for sealing cardboard boxes securely - it covers more surface area and gives a stronger hold on heavier packages.

Can paper tape go in the recycling?
Yes - it's both recyclable and biodegradable. Unlike plastic tape, you don't need to remove it from cardboard boxes before putting them in the recycling.

Does the tape come with a dispenser?
No, but we sell a bamboo tape dispenser separately if you want one.
