American Pale Ale - Pale Ale 4.5% | Wylde Sky

A proper session pale with four classic American hops doing the heavy lifting. Berry, citrus and floral, with a smooth malt base and a clean, dry finish.

This is Wylde Sky's craft classic and it's easy to see why it sticks around. Centennial, Simcoe, Mosaic and Chinook are four of the most dependable hop varieties in American brewing, and here they're used to deliver bold aroma without tipping into bitterness. A malt bill of Pale Ale malt, CaraPils and oats keeps it smooth and rounded underneath.

Unfiltered, unfined and unpasteurised, brewed just down the road in Linton, Cambridgeshire.

FAQs

How does this compare to the Continental?
Continental is more malt-forward and lager-like with melon and pear notes from German hops. The American Pale is hoppier and more aromatic, with berry and citrus character from its American hop lineup. Both are easy drinking but different vibes.

Is it bitter?
It has a firm, refreshing bitterness but nothing aggressive. The four hops give it aroma and flavour first, with the dry finish adding crispness rather than sharpness.

What does unfiltered and unfined mean?
It means nothing has been removed after fermentation, so you get the full flavour and a natural light haze. It also means it's suitable for vegans, as many beers use animal-derived finings to clarify.
