Bamboo Interdental Brushes (Pack of 5) - Truthbrush

FSC-certified bamboo interdental brushes from Truthbrush - a more sustainable swap from fully plastic alternatives, with BPA-free nylon bristles and a plant oil-coated handle for grip.

The bristles are nylon - there's no getting around that for interdental brushes currently - but switching the body from plastic to FSC-certified bamboo is a meaningful step. The bamboo handle is coated in plant oil for longevity and a smooth grip, and the nylon bristles can be removed with pliers before composting or recycling the handle.

Pack of 5, available in 0.4mm and 0.5mm bristle sizes.

  • Pack of 5
  • FSC-certified bamboo handle
  • Plant oil coating for grip and longevity
  • BPA-free nylon bristles
  • Bristles removable for separate disposal
  • 0.4mm or 0.5mm - select from dropdown
  • Made by Truthbrush

How To Use

Use as part of your daily dental routine to clean between teeth where a toothbrush can't reach.

  1. Gently insert the brush into the interdental space
  2. Move back and forth a few times
  3. Move to the next space and repeat

Do not force the brush into a space. Use once a day, rinse after use and leave to dry naturally. Replace when the bristles become worn.

FAQs

Which size should I choose - 0.4mm or 0.5mm?
0.4mm is suited to tighter interdental spaces; 0.5mm works for slightly wider gaps. If you're unsure, your dentist can advise on the right size for you - it varies from person to person.

Are the bristles biodegradable?
The nylon bristles aren't biodegradable - that's an honest limitation of interdental brushes at the moment. You can remove them with pliers before disposing of the bamboo handle separately.

How do I dispose of the brush?
Remove the nylon bristles with pliers, then compost or recycle the bamboo handle. The bristles are small plastic items - check your local recycling guidelines for the best disposal option.
