Plastic Free July is the world's biggest plastic-reduction movement, started in Western Australia in 2011 and now joined by over 170 million people across 190 countries. It runs from 1 to 31 July 2026, and the idea is simple - choose to refuse single-use plastic where you can, one small swap at a time. This year the month opens with a global pledge on 1 July to refuse one single-use plastic item, with small everyday changes adding up to a big difference.

Refilling is one of the easiest swaps there is. Instead of buying a brand new plastic bottle every time you run low, you keep the same 5L can in circulation and just top up the liquid inside. One can, used again and again, means a lot less plastic made and a lot less thrown away.

Our cans are reused. They've often been donated to us, so they can vary in shape, size and colour, and may show signs of previous use. Every can is personally cleaned and washed out inside before it reaches you, so there's no cross-contamination.
