Scent boosters are one of those products where the packaging has got completely out of hand - a rigid plastic tub the size of a small bin, used once and thrown away.
Simple Living Eco do the same job with none of the plastic. The beads contain no plastic binders, which is unusual in this category and means they biodegrade rather than shedding microplastics into the water system with every wash. It also means they sometimes arrive part-crumbled into powder, which looks odd but makes no difference to how they perform.
The scent is deliberately light. If you have found conventional boosters overpowering, this is the gentler end of the scale rather than a like-for-like swap in intensity.

Pour into the fabric softener compartment of your machine drawer, using the cap to measure. Less for a light scent, more for a stronger one, up to a maximum of 10g per wash.
Not suitable for short cycles - there isn't enough time or water for the beads to dissolve properly. If you usually run a quick wash, add a splash of hot water to the drawer first to help them break down.
Store somewhere dry. Keep out of reach of children. Not for consumption.

Do these replace detergent?
No. They add fragrance only, and go in alongside whatever you normally wash with.
Do they replace fabric conditioner?
Partly. They give you the scent most people buy conditioner for, but not the softening. Plenty of people use them instead and don't miss it, though if softness is what you're after our Fabric Conditioner is the better choice.
Why have my beads turned to powder?
Because there are no plastic binders holding them together. It's a sign the product is doing what it claims rather than a fault, and performance is unaffected.
Are they suitable for sensitive skin?
They're formulated to be, and they're free from PEGs and talc. They do contain essential oils, which can include naturally occurring allergens, so if you have a known fragrance sensitivity it's worth testing on a small load first.
