Nethergate’s Tropical IPA is a proper hop-bomb: Idaho 7, Amarillo, Azacca, Simcoe and Mosaic combine to deliver huge waves of mango, peach, passion fruit and grapefruit. It is unfined, naturally hazy and packed with character – the heavyweight of their Growling Dog range.

At 7.5% it is a serious IPA, made for sipping rather than necking. Pour it into a glass to enjoy the haze, the juicy aroma and that lush, full-bodied mouthfeel.

Is it very bitter?
It has a definite IPA bitterness, but the big juicy fruit notes keep it from feeling harsh.

How does it differ from Big Sesh?
Big Sesh is a lower-ABV session IPA; Tropical IPA is stronger, hazier and more intensely fruity, with a fuller body and bigger hop profile.

When should I drink it?
Best as a weekend or “one-can-and-done” beer when you want something with a bit of punch.
