Peanut Caramel 200g - Original or Blonde Edition

An award-winning sweet peanut spread made in Scotland by a former Michelin sous chef. Three natural ingredients, no palm oil, and a jar that disappears far quicker than it should.

Peanut Caramel sits somewhere between peanut butter and dulce de leche. The roasted, savoury peanut flavour cuts the sweetness of the caramel, so it is nowhere near as sugary as you would expect. Brilliant on toast, but it really earns its place as a baking ingredient.

  • 200g recyclable glass jar
  • Made in Scotland from all natural ingredients, with no artificial flavourings or additives
  • Original: Great Taste 2 star award winner, 2025
  • Blonde Edition: Great Taste 1 star award winner, 2026
  • High in protein and high in energy

Choose Your Jar

Original

The award winner. Dark roasted peanuts and a homemade dark caramel syrup give it a deep, almost savoury richness that offsets the sweetness. This is the bolder of the two and the one to reach for if you want real caramel intensity.

Blonde Edition

The easier-going younger sibling. Barely roasted peanuts and a straw-coloured light caramel syrup make it lighter and creamier, with a remarkably pure peanut flavour. Particularly good as a dessert ingredient or a topping.

How To Use

On toast or crumpets is the obvious one. Beyond that, swirl it through brownie batter before baking, layer it into shortbread, stir it through porridge or ice cream, or use it as a filling for cakes and tarts. For an effortless sweet peanut custard, bring a pan of cream to the boil and whisk in a few spoonfuls until smooth.

Ingredients

Original: Condensed milk (milk, sugar), peanuts, invert syrup (sugar, water, citric acid).
Blonde: peanuts, condensed milk (milk, sugar), caramel syrup (water, sugar, citric acid)

FAQs

What is the difference between the Original and the Blonde Edition?
The Original uses dark roasted peanuts and a dark caramel syrup for a deeper, richer flavour, and it holds a Great Taste 2 star award from 2025. The Blonde uses barely roasted peanuts and a light caramel syrup, making it lighter, creamier and purer in peanut flavour. It won a Great Taste 1 star award in 2026.

Is it like peanut butter?
Not quite. It is smoother and sweeter, closer to a peanut version of dulce de leche, and it is designed to be used as an ingredient in desserts as much as a spread.

Does it contain palm oil?
No. There is no palm oil and no artificial flavourings or additives.

How should I store it?
Keep the jar in a cool cupboard and use a clean spoon each time. The glass jar is recyclable once you have finished.

Who makes it?
A small family business in Broxburn, Scotland. Tom, a former sous chef in a Michelin starred restaurant, developed the recipe.
