Smooth, rich caramel with Grade A Madagascan vanilla and a pinch of Halen Mon sea salt.
The salt is the difference here. Most caramel syrups are sugar and flavouring and taste flat in milk; this one has real vanilla extract and Anglesey sea salt, so it holds its own in a flat white instead of disappearing.
The bottle is recyclable aluminium rather than plastic, and there are no preservatives or artificial additives in any of the range. A 200ml bottle gives you somewhere around twenty coffees depending on how heavy-handed you are.
Water, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract (vegetable glycerine, Madagascan vanilla pods, filtered water), glucose syrup, Halen Mon sea salt.
Made in a kitchen handling gluten, soya, nuts and milk.
How much do I use?
Start with 10ml for a small coffee and 15ml for a large one, then adjust. It is sweeter than a commercial syrup because there is less water in it.
Does it work in cold drinks?
Yes. It dissolves fine in iced coffee and works in milkshakes and cocktails too - stir rather than expecting it to disperse on its own.
Does it need refrigerating after opening?
No, though it will keep longer somewhere cool and dark. Aluminium blocks light completely, which helps.
Sip Syrup have been making coffee syrups in Wales since 2023, in small batches with no preservatives or artificial flavourings. The bottles are recyclable aluminium rather than plastic, which is most of the reason we stock them - the syrup aisle is otherwise a wall of PET.
