Unpackaged Shampoo Bar - nope.
A solid shampoo bar that lasts around 60 to 80 washes and replaces three 250ml bottles, with no packaging at all.
Shampoo bars have a mixed reputation, largely because a lot of them are soap by another name. Soap sits at the wrong pH for hair, which is where the waxy build-up and the squeaky, straw-like feeling come from.
nope. spent two years and several hundred hair washes developing these as proper haircare rather than soap in a different shape, and it shows. They lather like shampoo, rinse clean, and are formulated for hard water.
These are the unpackaged bars, so there's no box, no wrapper and no plastic - though to ship we will place in a small paper bag to keep the product protected. Pair with the matching Conditioner Bar in the bundle above to save 10%

Which One?
Peppermint Refresh - for all hair types and oily hair, dandruff and general scalp complaints.
Argan Roots - for dry, brittle or fine hair that needs feeding. Moroccan argan oil brings vitamin E and omega fatty acids to tame frizz and add shine.
Into The Deep - for medium, thick, curly or coarse hair. Lavender oil soothes the scalp and seaweed extract adds minerals to strengthen hair and build volume. The most hydrating of the three.
How To Use
Soak your hair properly first, more than you think. Rub the bar in circles directly on your scalp to build a lather, then massage in with your fingertips rather than your nails. Shampoo twice, rinsing thoroughly each time.
Store it somewhere it can drain and dry out between washes. A bar left sitting in water disappears far quicker than one that dries properly.

FAQs
Where are these made?
In California, at a solar-powered facility that specialises in solid haircare. nope. are a UK brand based in Portsmouth and their face and body bars are made in East London, but they couldn't find a UK manufacturer able to make shampoo and conditioner bars that perform well enough long term. Emissions from factory to door are carbon offset and the bars are stored and packed at their solar-powered UK warehouse. Their stance is that it's better to have a bar that works and people stick with that's made abroad than a UK-made bar that people won't stick with.
Will it work in hard water?
Yes. nope. test in Portsmouth, which is a chalky hard water area, so the formulas are built for it. This is the main thing that separates a proper shampoo bar from a soap bar, since soap reacts with the minerals in hard water and leaves a film on the hair.
Is there a transition period?
Usually not, because these aren't soap based. If your old shampoo was heavy on silicones it can take a few washes to shift them. Rinsing more thoroughly than feels necessary is the best fix if your hair feels heavy.
Is it safe on coloured hair?
Yes. There's no SLS, SLES, parabens, sodium chloride or petrochemicals, which are the usual culprits for stripping colour.
What about keratin-treated hair?
The bars are SLS and SLES free, but they do contain sodium coco-sulfate, a milder coconut-derived cleanser. nope. note it may still shorten the life of a keratin treatment over time, so check with your stylist first.
Can I take one in hand luggage?
Yes. Solid bars don't count towards your liquids allowance.
How do I stop it going mushy?
Keep it out of the direct spray of the shower and let it dry fully between uses. A draining dish or a tin with the lid off works. How you store it makes a real difference to how long it lasts.
