A traditional Herefordshire dry cider made from 100% cider apples grown and pressed on the family farm at Bishops Frome.

Abrahalls AD is the dry member of Celtic Marches' traditional range, sitting alongside the medium AM and the Vintage AV. It is built on a blend of bittersweet and sharp cider apples: Dabinett and Michelin for body and tannin, with a smattering of Kingston Black, the old cidermaker's favourite, for structure.

The fruit is left on the tree to fully ripen before pressing, which is where the depth comes from. The result is well-rounded and easy to drink but firmly dry, with a clean finish rather than any residual sweetness. Not from concentrate.

How To Serve

Serve well chilled, over ice if you like. As a still dry cider with real tannin structure it behaves more like a dry white wine than a commercial cider, so it works properly at the table rather than just alongside it.

Firmly dry. You still get ripe cider apple flavour and tannin, but the finish is crisp and clean with no sweetness behind it.

What is the difference between AD and AM?
They are made from the same apples on the same farm at the same 6% strength. AD is the dry version and AM is the medium, so AM keeps a touch more sweetness.

Is it a good cider with food?
Yes. The dry profile and tannin make it a proper match for cheese boards, pork and roast chicken, and it will handle anything you would normally pair with a dry white wine.
