Kitchen & Bathroom Loofah
- Low stock - 5 items left
A natural loofah cleaning pad handmade in Europe - plastic-free, non-scratch, and fully compostable at the end of its life. A proper swap away from plastic sponges with no compromise on performance.
Made from layers of natural loofah plant stitched together, this pad works hard on dishes, sinks, bathroom surfaces and general kitchen cleaning - softening and swelling when wet to give a spongy, flexible scrub that won't mark surfaces. A sisal loop lets you hang it to dry between uses, which keeps it fresher for longer. When it's finally done, it goes straight in the compost.
Will it scratch my dishes or surfaces?
No - loofah is naturally non-scratch, so it's safe to use on crockery, glassware, sinks and bathroom surfaces without leaving marks.
How do I look after it between uses?
Rinse it thoroughly after use, squeeze out excess water and hang it up to dry using the sisal loop. Keeping it dry between uses significantly extends its life. You can also wash it by hand or in the washing machine occasionally to keep it fresh.
Can I actually compost it when it's worn out?
Yes - it's made entirely from natural plant materials so it can go straight into your home compost heap at the end of its life. No need to separate anything out.
Is loofah really a plant?
It is - loofah (sometimes spelled luffa) is a climbing plant in the gourd family. The fibrous interior of the dried fruit is what becomes the loofah pad. Completely natural, no processing with synthetic materials.
