Three whisky liqueurs from England's oldest registered whisky distillery, an hour up the road in Norfolk.

Made at a family-run distillery at Roudham, where the barley is grown in Norfolk and the water comes up from the Breckland aquifer below. Each of these liqueurs starts with their English single malt and heads somewhere different.

The PX is rich with raisins, figs and dark chocolate from Pedro Ximénez sherry. Add fresh stem ginger and you get the Ginger PX, with a warmth that cuts through all that sweetness. The Bramble swaps the sherry for hedgerow blackberries and finishes tart.

What is PX?

Pedro Ximénez, a Spanish sherry made from sun-dried grapes. It's the sweetest, darkest style of sherry there is, and it's where the raisin and fig character comes from.

How should they be served?

All three are lovely neat over ice in small measures. The Ginger PX makes a very good hot toddy with hot water and a slice of lemon, and the Bramble can be lengthened with soda or topped with fizz.

Do they need refrigerating once opened?

No. At 20% they're stable in the cupboard, though they're nicer served cold.
