Wooden Pot Brush
- Low stock - 4 items left
A fully biodegradable pot brush with an FSC-certified beech handle and plant-based bristles - no plastic, no microplastics, compostable at end of life.
The bristles are Union Fibre - a blend of Tampico (from the agave cactus) and Palmyra (from the leaf stalks of the Indian Palm tree). Stiff enough to tackle stuck-on food on pots and pans, but entirely plant-based, so nothing synthetic ends up going down the drain or into the ocean.
Compact and palm-sized at 8 x 6 x 6cm - easy to grip and manoeuvre around awkward shapes.
Rinse after use and leave to dry fully between uses - keeping it dry helps prolong the life of both the bristles and the handle.
What is Union Fibre?
It's a blend of two plant-based fibres - Tampico, derived from the agave cactus, and Palmyra, from the base of the leaf stalks of the Indian Palm tree.
Combined, they make a stiff, durable bristle that's fully biodegradable.
Will the bristles shed microplastics?
No - because there's no plastic in them.
Conventional pot brushes use synthetic bristles that shed microplastics into the water every time you wash up.
These bristles are entirely plant-based.
Can I compost it when it's worn out?
Yes - the whole brush is biodegradable, so it can go in your home compost or organic waste at the end of its life.
