Ark Wines is a small-batch, family-run vineyard and winery based at Mount Farm in the Stour Valley, Suffolk - and they're doing things quite differently from most English wine producers.

Ark focuses on still wines rather than the sparkling wines that dominate the English wine scene, experimenting with unusual grape varieties and innovative winemaking techniques including the Italian Passito method.

Unfiltered, unfined, and made entirely on site using solar-powered facilities - this is English wine with real character and genuine independence.

Ark Wines is based at Mount Farm Vineyard in Shimpling, Suffolk, where Hans and Amanda Engstrom have built one of the most creative and sustainability-focused small wineries in the East of England.

Their vineyard grows a wide range of varieties including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Bacchus, Riesling, Gamay and Acolon, all hand-picked and processed entirely on site in a winery powered by solar energy.

All Ark wines are unfiltered and unfined, made in small batches and given the time they need to develop - resulting in wines with real depth, character and a distinctly local identity.
