Gerald - Bubbly White Wine | The Uncommon
Dry and fizzing with elderflower, green apple and freshly cut grass - England's answer to Sauvignon Blanc, in a can.
Gerald is made from Bacchus and Chardonnay grapes grown on the south-facing chalk slopes of the Kent Downs - the same conditions that have made English sparkling wine one of the wine world's great success stories.
The Bacchus brings the aromatics: floral, elderflowery, a little grassy. The unoaked Chardonnay adds body and length. The result is a dry, refreshing bubbly white with a clean finish that's properly hard to put down.
In a can rather than a bottle - and all the better for it. The Uncommon's aluminium cans block out light and air far more effectively than glass, keeping the wine fresher for longer and cutting the carbon footprint of your drink by over 86% compared to a standard wine bottle.

FAQs
What does Gerald taste like?
Dry and aromatic - elderflower and freshly cut grass on the nose, with green apple and a hint of gooseberry on the palate and a long, clean finish. It's light and refreshing rather than rich, which makes it very easy drinking.
What food does it pair with?
Seafood, salads, soft goat's cheese, smoked salmon or anything you'd reach for a Sauvignon Blanc with. It also works brilliantly as an aperitif on its own.
What makes The Uncommon different?
The Uncommon were the first producer to put English wine in a can - and they're still the best at it. Their grapes are handpicked from their own vineyard on the Kent Downs, they're the UK's first certified B Corp winemaker, and their cans have over 86% lower carbon emissions than an equivalent bottled wine. Great wine, lighter footprint.
