Bold, crunchy Desi snacks packed in beer-style cans, handmade in small batches in Kent. Four flavours, all plant-based, all sealed in fully recyclable aluminium for maximum crunch.
These snacks are built on family recipes and street food classics, made with locally sourced ingredients and given a modern British twist. The can is not just for show. It is airtight and keeps light out, so the snacks stay crisp for longer than a bag.
Here's why we love them:
The one that started it all. A proper savoury jumble of lentils, gram flour crisps and roasted peanuts, tossed in cumin, coriander and chilli. Salty, spiced and very hard to put down. Contains peanuts.
The iconic spiral snack, shaped the traditional way using a mould. Crisp and snappy with sesame, ajwain, turmeric and ginger running through it. A gentle warmth rather than a fierce heat. Contains wheat and sesame.
Crunchy bites made from over 92% chana dal (split chickpeas), seasoned with fennel, garlic and chilli. All the flavour of a pakora in a dry, crisp snack. The highest salt hit of the four and brilliant with a cold beer.
Big crunchy corn kernels coated in the family masala blend, with amchur (dried mango powder) and chilli giving a sharp, tangy finish. High in protein and high in fibre.

For allergens, see the ingredients listed in bold above.
Bombay Mix contains peanuts. Chakli contains wheat (gluten) and sesame. Pakora and Masala Corn contain no allergenic ingredients.
All four are manufactured in a factory that also handles nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, wheat flour (gluten) and mustard, so all four may contain traces of these allergens. Not suitable for anyone with a severe nut or peanut allergy.
Are Curry Smugglers snacks vegan?
Yes. All four flavours are plant-based, including the Chakli, which uses vegetable ghee rather than dairy ghee.
Are they gluten free?
Bombay Mix, Pakora and Masala Corn contain no gluten ingredients, but Chakli is made with wheat flour so it is not gluten free. All four are made in a factory that handles wheat flour, so none are suitable for coeliacs.
How spicy are they?
Warm rather than fiery. Chakli is the mildest, Bombay Mix sits in the middle, and Masala Corn has the boldest chilli and tang from the amchur.
Can the can be recycled?
Yes, the aluminium can is 100% recyclable. Give the can a quick rinse and pop both in your household recycling.
Why cans instead of bags?
The can is airtight and blocks UV light, which keeps the snacks crisper for longer than a foil bag. The cap means you can reseal a half-eaten can rather than clipping a bag shut.
What goes well with them?
They were designed to sit next to a cold drink, so a lager, a pale ale or a chilled soft drink all work. They are also a good sharing snack for a grazing board.
