You + I Kombucha - Original, Ginger or Black Cherry 330ml

Organic, raw and unpasteurised kombucha fermented with French oak and whole leaf Assam tea. Three flavours, billions of live bacteria, and no sweeteners of any kind.

Most kombucha on the shelf is pasteurised, sweetened after fermentation, or both. You + I do neither. Their sparkling living tea is fermented slowly with French oak, which is where the depth and the faintly winey character come from, and it goes into the bottle raw with the cultures still active.

The Guardian called them modern British masters of kombucha, and the balance is what earns it: tart and dry rather than sweet, with fine bubbles and real body. You + I are a certified B Corp, Soil Association certified organic and a Real Living Wage employer.

  • 330ml amber glass bottle
  • Raw and unpasteurised, with billions of live gut-friendly bacteria
  • Fermented with French oak and whole leaf Assam tea
  • Certified organic, no sweeteners or sugar substitutes
  • Suitable for vegans

Choose Your Flavour

Original

The one to start with. Tart and tangy granny smith apples, conference pears and a hint of vanilla, with the oak sitting underneath it all. Dry, clean and properly refreshing.

Ginger

The Original infused with organic ginger. Pungent, sweet and spicy ginger against tart apples and toasted oak. The most warming of the three and the best one with food.

Black Cherry

The Original infused with cherry. Fresh, sweet cherry accented with hints of vanilla and oak. The fruitiest of the three and the easiest introduction if you have not drunk much kombucha before.

How To Serve

Serve chilled, straight from the bottle or poured into a glass. If you are new to fermented drinks, start with 100ml to 150ml a day and build up to a full 330ml bottle. Keep refrigerated. Because it is raw and alive you may see sediment, yeast strands or bits of kombucha culture in the bottle, which is completely normal and a sign of a healthy kombucha.

FAQs

What is kombucha?
A fermented tea drink made by combining brewed tea and sugar with a SCOBY, a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast. The culture ferments the sweet tea into something tangy and lightly sparkling, and the sugar is transformed during that process rather than remaining in the finished drink.

What does You + I Kombucha taste like?
Dry and tart rather than sweet, with fine bubbles and an oaky depth from the French oak fermentation. Original leans towards green apple and pear, Ginger is spicier, and Black Cherry is the fruitiest.

Is there anything floating in my bottle?
Very likely, and that is a good sign. Sediment, yeast strands and pieces of kombucha culture are all normal in a living, unpasteurised drink, and all perfectly safe to drink.

Can I drink kombucha while pregnant?
You + I recommend speaking to your GP first, since the kombucha is raw and unpasteurised.

Is it vegan and organic?
Yes to both. All three flavours are suitable for vegans and are certified organic by the Soil Association.

Can I recycle the bottle?
Yes. The bottle is amber glass and the screw cap is aluminium, so both go in your household recycling.
