Soda Crystals (also known as washing soda or sodium carbonate) are a versatile, UK-made cleaning staple. More alkaline than bicarbonate of soda, they cut through grease, boost laundry and tackle limescale, and appear regularly in Nancy Birtwhistle's natural cleaning recipes. Refilling saves on single-use plastic packaging.

Keep dry, in a sealed container, out of direct sunlight. Store out of reach of children and pets.
Our quantity dropdown lets you order the exact amount your container needs, rather than being locked into fixed sizes. Options run from 50g up to 1kg - combine as many as you need to match your container.
Example: for 950g, add 1x 500g + 1x 400g + 1x 50g.
Topping up a part-full container? Either estimate what you need and order that, or order a full amount and leave a note at checkout asking us to refund any unused amount. We weigh and refill, then refund the difference.
Note: we measure refills by weight, so there may be slight variation between products.
Order through the website as normal, or message us by WhatsApp or email the day before (or earlier than) your usual delivery date.
For example: "Hi Dan, please can I book in for refills tomorrow? I need soda crystals, please refill my container fully. I will leave it on the doorstep, thanks!"
We book you in, refill your container, and send an email invoice for the amount refilled.

What are Soda Crystals?
Soda Crystals are sodium carbonate (washing soda). They are more alkaline than bicarbonate of soda, which makes them well suited to tougher cleaning jobs like cutting grease and lifting stains.
How are they different from bicarbonate of soda?
Bicarb is milder and good for gentle scrubbing and deodorising; soda crystals are stronger and better for grease, laundry and limescale. Many people keep both.
Are they eco-friendly?
Yes. They are biodegradable, non-toxic and leave no harmful residues.
