Sweet, tangy and full of bursting berries, with a festive splash of port.
Nearly half the jar is fruit, and the berries stay whole enough to burst rather than dissolve into the set. The port sits underneath as a warm, slightly boozy note rather than anything sharp.
Just as happy on toast as it is next to turkey, game or a cheeseboard. Made by hand in small batches at Ashgrove Farm in East Sussex.

Does it taste strongly of port?
No. At 2% it reads as depth and warmth behind the fruit rather than as an alcoholic flavour.
Is there alcohol in it?
Yes, port is in the ingredients. Most of it cooks off during boiling, but if you avoid alcohol entirely this is not the one to pick.
Is it just for Christmas?
It is at its best with the Christmas table, but it works on toast and with cheese all year round.
