Left Handed Giant

Woodland Creatures - Milk Stout 6.9% | Left Handed Giant

Rich, silky and unapologetically indulgent. A pistachio and honeycomb milk stout with marzipan on the nose, a woody rum depth and a smooth, sweet finish.

Woodland Creatures is LHG's beloved collaboration with Dutch brewers Uiltje, and it keeps coming back because it's just very, very good. A tried and tested grain bill of Crystal and Roasted malts forms the base, with honeycomb added throughout and pistachio cold-side to keep it fresh and nutty. The result is jet black, silky smooth and hits somewhere between a dessert and a proper pint.

Awarded the only Gold medal at the 2025 International Beer Challenge. One of those cans that makes you immediately want another.

FAQs

Is it very sweet? It's sweet and rich but well balanced. The roasted malt and subtle bitterness stop it from tipping into cloying territory.

Does it actually contain nuts? No. Despite the pistachio flavour, Left Handed Giant confirm Woodland Creatures does not contain nuts. The allergens are barley and lactose only.

How does it compare to the other LHG beers we stock? It's the most indulgent of the range by some distance. Where Wall of Noise and Table Beer are light and hop-forward, Woodland Creatures is dark, full-bodied and dessert-like.
