Wooden Dish Brush with Replaceable Head - EcoLiving

A fully wooden, 100% compostable dish brush with a long FSC-certified beechwood handle, natural tampico bristles, and a replaceable head - no metal parts, no plastic.

Plastic dish brushes with synthetic bristles shed microplastics every time you use them, and take hundreds of years to break down. This EcoLiving brush is made entirely from wood and plant-based fibres, so when the head eventually wears out, it can go straight in the compost. Better still, you don't need to replace the whole brush - just unscrew the head and swap it for a replacement head.

The tampico bristles are non-scratch and work well on dishes, trays, pots, pans and glass. A natural cotton string on the handle makes it easy to hang and dry between uses.

More of a cloth person? The compostable sponge cloths are a popular alternative.

  • FSC-certified steamed beechwood handle
  • Natural tampico bristles - non-scratch
  • Screw-on replaceable head
  • 100% biodegradable and compostable - no metal parts
  • Natural cotton string for hanging storage
  • Made by EcoLiving

How To Replace The Head

When the bristles are worn, unscrew the head from the handle and screw on a replacement head. The old head is fully compostable - pop it in a well-maintained compost heap.

Product Care

Rinse after use and hang to dry using the cotton string - keeping the bristles dry between uses prolongs the life of the brush and prevents bacteria build-up.

FAQs

Will the tampico bristles scratch my dishes?
No - tampico is a natural plant fibre that's firm enough to clean effectively but won't scratch dishes, glass or non-stick pans.

Is the whole brush compostable, including the head?
Yes - there are no metal parts at all, so the entire brush including the head can go in a well-maintained home compost heap at end of life.

Where can I get replacement heads?
The replacement heads are available separately - so you can keep the handle going for much longer and just replace the part that wears out.
