Suffolk Wildflower Runny Honey

Number Eighteen is a small, family-run company from Boxford, Suffolk, that is passionate about bees and beekeeping. Their Suffolk wildflower runny honey is a true taste of the local countryside – a multi-floral honey gathered from a wide range of blossoms, giving it a beautifully rounded, floral flavour.

This wildflower runny honey was awarded 2 stars at the 2024 Great Taste Awards, with judges praising its complexity, balance and bold depth of floral character. Colour and taste may vary slightly from jar to jar, but it will generally be a clear, medium-light gold with a smooth, pourable texture.

  • Multi-floral wildflower honey from Boxford, Suffolk – a true reflection of the local landscape
  • Great Taste 2-star award winner (2024) for its complex, balanced floral flavour
  • Runny, golden and versatile – perfect for drizzling, baking and everyday sweetening
  • Made by a small family-run apiary that puts bee welfare first

Serving suggestions: Drizzle over yoghurt, porridge, pancakes or toast, stir into hot drinks instead of sugar, or use in dressings, marinades and baking wherever you’d use a good runny honey.

Ingredients: 100% Suffolk wildflower honey.

Allergy advice: Not suitable for infants under 12 months.

Suffolk Soft Set Honey

Soft set honey is what happens when beekeepers work with honey’s natural tendency to crystallise, guiding it into a creamy, spreadable texture instead of letting it set hard in the jar. Number Eighteen take pure Suffolk honey and carefully control crystallisation so the crystals stay tiny, giving a smooth, velvety set that’s easy to spoon and spread.

All honey will eventually granulate over time, especially pure, unblended honey. Some nectars crystallise quickly into a rock-hard set that can be difficult to use, particularly from spring and late-autumn flows. By seeding and stirring at just the right stages, this soft set honey stays luxuriously creamy and slow-flowing, without turning solid.

  • Creamy, soft-set Suffolk honey that won’t run off your toast
  • Carefully controlled crystallisation for a fine, smooth texture
  • Delicate aroma and gentle sweetness that works beautifully on toast or crumpets
  • Pure honey – nothing added, simply handled with care

Serving suggestions: Spread thickly on toast, crumpets or warm buttery rolls, swirl through porridge, or use as a soft, easy-to-handle honey for baking and glazing.

Ingredients: 100% Suffolk soft-set honey.

Allergy advice: Not suitable for infants under 12 months.

Ginger, Turmeric & Black Pepper Honey

A golden spoonful of comfort and vitality. This soft-set Suffolk honey is infused with freshly grated ginger root, freshly grated turmeric root and a touch of cracked black pepper – combining three time-honoured “superfood” ingredients in one soothing, aromatic jar.

Warming, gently spicy and deeply fragrant, it’s a gorgeous way to add a little daily boost to your routine. Stir into warm water with lemon, swirl through yoghurt or porridge, or simply enjoy straight from the spoon. There are no powders or flavourings here – just real roots folded into local honey.

  • Soft-set Suffolk honey infused with ginger, turmeric and black pepper
  • Made with freshly grated roots – no powders, additives or shortcuts
  • Comforting, gently spiced flavour that works in drinks, breakfasts and desserts
  • Easy way to enjoy ginger and turmeric as part of your everyday routine

Serving suggestions: Take a spoonful as part of your morning ritual, or stir into warm (not boiling) water with lemon for a soothing drink. It’s also lovely swirled through porridge, overnight oats, yoghurt or chia puddings, or added to herbal teas for a naturally sweet, gently spiced lift.

Ingredients: Pure Suffolk soft-set honey, freshly grated ginger root, freshly grated turmeric root, cracked black pepper.

Allergy advice: Not suitable for infants under 12 months.

Cold-Smoked Chilli Honey

For those who like their sweetness with a kick. This cold-smoked chilli honey starts with Number Eighteen’s small-estate Suffolk runny honey, energised with fiery-hot Scotch Bonnet chillies and gently cold-smoked to add a silky, savoury smokiness.

Most chilli honeys are made by heating honey with chilli seeds, which can damage the natural enzymes that make raw honey so special. Here, a cold-smoking process allows the chillies to infuse their heat and flavour while keeping those natural enzymes intact. Each small batch is hand crafted, resulting in a rich, smoky-sweet honey that’s incredibly versatile and dangerously moreish.

  • Runny Suffolk honey infused with fiery Scotch Bonnet chillies
  • Cold-smoked rather than boiled to protect honey’s natural enzymes
  • Perfect balance of sweet, smoky and hot – ideal for drizzling and marinating
  • Made in small batches with just a few simple ingredients

Serving suggestions: Drizzle over pizza, fried chicken or halloumi, use as a glaze for barbecued meats and roasted vegetables, or swirl through dressings for salads and grain bowls. It’s also brilliant over cheese – especially tangy cheddars and creamy blues.

Ingredients: Suffolk runny honey (97%), Scotch Bonnet chillies, cider vinegar, salt.

Allergy advice: Not suitable for infants under 12 months.
