Hampstead Tea were the first UK brand to bring stitched tea bags to market: unbleached paper, folded and held together with cotton thread. No PLA, no plastic glue, no microplastics in your cup. The outer box is recyclable cardboard and the tea bags themselves are home compostable.

Please note: Digest Well contains liquorice root. People with hypertension should avoid excessive consumption of liquorice.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from strong odours. Reseal the box after opening to keep the tea fresh.

Organic Darjeeling black tea infused with Madagascan vanilla. Lightly sweet, creamy and aromatic.

Indian Chai

Robust organic black tea with warming cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Brew strong, add milk, sweeten to taste.

How to Brew

• Black teas: freshly boiled water, brew 3 to 5 minutes
• Green teas: water just off the boil, around 80°C, brew 2 to 3 minutes to avoid bitterness
• Herbal infusions: freshly boiled water, brew 3 to 5 minutes, longer for a stronger flavour
• Rosehip & Hibiscus: try it iced or as a cocktail mixer

What does "biodynamic" mean?
Biodynamic farming goes further than organic, treating soil, plants and the surrounding ecosystem as a single living system. Many of Hampstead's teas come from the Makaibari Estate in Darjeeling, which pioneered biodynamic tea growing.

Can I compost the packaging?
The outer cardboard box is widely recyclable. The tea bags themselves are home compostable.

Which varieties are caffeine-free?
All the herbal infusions, including Camomile, Peppermint & Spearmint, Lemon & Ginger, Rooibos, Rosehip & Hibiscus, Sleep Well and Digest Well. The black and green teas all contain caffeine.
