A barrel-aged English white from Reichensteiner - ripe pear, honey and a touch of vanilla.
Gainsborough is Giffords Hall's Reichensteiner, aged in a mix of new and old French oak. The oak gives it a creamy texture and a little vanilla, but it stays light and fresh, with orchard fruit and a clean finish. A good pick for anyone who finds Bacchus a bit too zingy.
Contains sulphites.

Dietary: Suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Residual sugar under 1g per litre.
What does it taste like?
Ripe pear, delicate floral notes, a little honey and vanilla, then soft orchard fruit with a creamy texture and a fruity, clean finish.
What should I eat with it?
Roast poultry, light seafood and creamy cheeses, or on its own.
How should I serve it?
Chilled, around 10-13°C.
